I decided to join the TEFL programme at Salisa in Pattaya after looking for a serious, well-structured course that would prepare me properly for teaching English abroad.
From the start, what stood out was how organised and professional everything was. It was intensive but well paced, combining theory with a strong focus on practical teaching. It wasn’t just classroom learning; we were constantly building lesson plans, practising delivery, and getting real experience in front of learners, which made a huge difference to my confidence.
The Thai language sessions were also a great addition. Even basic exposure helped massively with day-to-day life in Thailand and made settling in much easier. On top of that, the support throughout the course. There was always someone available to answer questions or guide us through the process.
What really impressed me was the job support after qualifying. The guidance around placements and working in Thailand was clear and practical, which made the next step into teaching feel achievable rather than overwhelming.
SLS gave me the skills and confidence to start a new career in teaching.
As someone with a background in primary education but new to teaching English, I found this course extremely valuable. It struck a perfect balance between classroom learning and hands-on teaching practice. I particularly appreciated the chance to teach in a real school setting, experiencing the same time pressures and routines as a typical classroom. The instructor was highly knowledgeable, and the school ensured I had all the resources and support needed to succeed. The teaching methods I learned were practical and easy to apply in a variety of teaching situations.
I completed the TEFL course in August 2024, and it was an intense but rewarding experience. The trainer, Cillian, is outstanding. He not only delivered the syllabus clearly but also offered insightful feedback and shared a wealth of personal teaching experience. His real-life examples, especially around managing challenging student behaviour, were invaluable.
At first, I was a bit surprised that the school-based teaching practice came so early in the course. However, I soon realised it was a brilliant approach. Practicing early allowed us to reflect on real situations and discuss them in the following lessons, making the learning much more meaningful.
A big thank you to the whole team for their warm welcome and readiness to support students at any time of the day.
I recently completed the 120-hour TEFL course at Salisa Language School and had a brilliant experience. Even before finishing, I was offered a teaching position at a respected Thai school, thanks to the guidance and mentoring I received from Paul.
The course, expertly delivered by our trainer Cillian, is intensive and well-structured, with a full schedule and high expectations. His constructive feedback really pushed us to improve and reach the next level.
The team, including the friendly trainers and supportive staff Mam and Nong Luk were so welcoming. I would highly recommend this course to anyone aiming to start a teaching career in Thailand.
