The International TEFL Academy: Get Certified & Teach in Thailand

All of my preconceived notions about this course were completely off base. Not only did I have two excellent teachers to guide me through the course, I had an amazing community of peers to join me through this journey. I feel as though this course gave me the resources, knowledge and confidence to succeed as a teacher, and to have a pathway to chase my dreams. The support system you find through ITA is incredible and gives you the reassurance you need to know you are not alone in this. I am very thankful I was apart of this course and would highly recommend to absolutely anyone looking for a way to change their mind, career and future.

I am most grateful for ITA's course practicum requirement. Here, I felt I was really able to put everything I learned into practice and become comfortable with teaching English in-person. Almost every aspect of the TEFL training has been applied to my current teaching position. I still use the knowledge I learned on lesson planning to create plans for my students, including the templates provided by ITA. My current situation in Sriracha, Thailand, allows me enough money to live comfortably, travel, and save, as well as pay my bills back home (student loans, car payment, etc.).

I wanted to have an upper hand on other teachers in the ESL job market - that's when ITA's Online TEFL Course was suggested to me. At the time I had three jobs, so the part-time course was very convenient. The assignments were relatable and even the history of language was interesting. I also had an awesome teacher! I think having a practicum component was invaluable because now that I'm here in Thailand, there are so many "teachers" here with no obvious classroom experience. I moved to Nakhon Pathom, Thailand and plan to stay for as long as I can.

ITA is the best program for learning to teach English as a foreign language! From the start they have helped me and encouraged me, and when I had a conflict with the start of my class, they seamlessly moved me to a class that began later in the year--for free! The textbooks are well-written and interesting, the teachers incredibly supportive, and my fellow students are all as excited as I am to begin this journey! I highly recommend this program to anyone who loves to travel and who loves to teach!

I was looking for a TEFL program that would take care of me. All I did was call and send emails and all I received was amazing communication. They always got back to me within a day or two, my questions were fully answered with resources to help, not to mention all of my worries were heard and supported. Their communication is top-notch! This also applies to the course itself where I I found the feedback from my instructor to be very helpful.

The content is absolutely amazing. I learnt so much during this course about what it takes to be a teacher - not just an EFL teacher, but a teacher in general. Not only has this course equipped me with the skills required to be EFL teacher, it has also enlightened me whilst positively contributing to my person development.

If you are someone who is looking to get TEFL certified, ITA is the way!

ITA's 11-week online TEFL certification course gave me an excellent foundation. The materials, examples, and videos were comprehensive, and the assignments made me put what I was learning to practical use. I found it challenging in a good way.

I am now working with one of ITA's student advisors to plan my next steps teaching abroad. She has been very helpful in providing tons of resources and recommendations. I'm looking at several possible destinations, and ITA has connections all over and extensive, very practical information for aspiring TEFL teachers to find those open doors.

All in all, I highly recommend ITA's program to anyone who loves teaching English and is ready to put it into practice.

ITA has been more than what I expected. The material is comprehensive, the program (teacher, student affairs) is extremely supportive, and the resources (practicum hours/job search) are extensive. There's a sense of community.

When applying for my practicum hours, I was able to choose from a huge list of different and interesting organisations that ITA is affiliated with. Once I started my student teaching/practicum hours I felt prepared even though I had not completed the course. 2 weeks into my practicum hours I was invited to attend a professional development day in which the topic was material I had already covered in the ITA course!

I definitely recommend ITA for your TEFL certification. It's comprehensive, interesting, and will leave you feeling prepared, confident and inspired to teach and explore the world!

Our TEFL course in Chiang Mai was truly an amazing experience. Over the four weeks, we completed full-time training alongside six hands-on teaching sessions at local schools, which gave us real insight into what it’s like to be in a classroom. The instructors brought a wealth of experience and offered practical, helpful guidance throughout the program.

We even got to experience being students ourselves, learning Thai through the TEFL methods we were taught, which really helped us understand effective teaching techniques. The course also covered creating detailed lesson plans, and we received constructive feedback from multiple instructors after each practice lesson.

The support from the staff was outstanding, not only during the course but also afterwards, helping with job placement and answering any questions we had. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to teach English, especially in Thailand.

I had a very good experience with the ITA course in Chiang Mai. The program was well-structured, balancing theory with hands-on teaching practice in local schools, which really helped me build confidence in the classroom. The instructors were knowledgeable and approachable, giving detailed feedback on our lesson plans and teaching methods.

Beyond the lessons, the staff helped with job guidance and provided knowledge on living and working in Thailand. I'm now teaching in Thailand and loving the experience.
